Is 1972's Exorcist with Linda Blair STILL best horror movie of all time?

I'm not certain about the 1972 date but i know it's in the 70's. Is that movie still the greatest horror flick of all time? Even today nearly 40 years later, with all the hollywood special effects that clearly dominates any type of special effects 40 years earlier, can't beat a movie from the 70's? However, if you don't think the original exorcist is scariest horror flick of all time, which movie is?
